The Vista House in Forest hills, NV, is a completely remastered Bob Lewis ‘Post and Beam’ rebuilt from the studs up from it’s humble beginnings of the early 1950’s. The two year renovation brought the family’s necessary conveniences forward, but kept the preservation of it’s mid-century modern style top-of-mind. The architect, Bernard Decosse, expanded the open living concept to the outside, and this further connected itself to the vista water views with its aluminum sliding door system. This architectural gem offers nearly 3,000 sqft of open plan living where you can see the entire inside/outside space from the kitchen. West Coast Modern is driving Vancouver as the bedrock for the revival of mid-century modern designs with homage paid to the likes of Palm Springs, California.
